Mountains to Climb

I have tossed around several ideas on how to title this post:

Seeing through the Haze
Trusting without Knowing
Thankful
Blessed

Any of the above would work.  I want to publicly record how I feel right now.  I know that there may be  will be times when I struggle in the future, and I want to be able to look back and remember how I feel right now.

I am overwhelmed by God's provisions for our family.  I shouldn't be...our God is faithful!  I feel so blessed by Our Heavenly Father that he has orchestrated events in our lives so that we are exactly where we need to be at this very minute, so that every need in our family is being met.  He didn't just place us here.  He called men and women to be here with us, to serve with us.  These men and women have exactly the skills and hearts that are needed.  Words cannot describe how incredibly blessed I feel to realize that even though I have NO idea what the future holds, I do know WHO holds that future, and it could not be in better hands.

At times, life gives us mountains to climb.  When we stand at the bottom of those mountains on our own they look insurmountable.  With God nothing is impossible.  He has, is, and will be equipping me and my family for whatever obstacles may come before us.

Lord, Thank you for answered prayers.  Thank you for providing for all of our needs.  Thank you for calling specifically gifted people to work with my children.  Thank you for bringing people to this ship who will come along side, encourage, and lead us.  Thank you for giving me eyes that see your provisions for us.  Thank you for calling friends, family, and people we have never met to pray for us.  I am simply thankful.  Amen

Home

We arrived back on the Africa Mercy Tuesday at about 4:00 pm.  We were blessed to have excellent travel back to the ship and upon arrival Jacob said, "It is so good to be HOME!"  I can't tell you how glad I was to hear him call the ship HOME.  Over the last year that is what this place has become.  We received a wonderful welcome home present today by way of crew mail.  A family that we have never met sent us a care package.  We are so incredibly blessed by this kindness.  So many time in this last year we have felt that we were being covered in prayer, and it is so amazing to think about the magnitude of God.  A family that has never met us is praying for us.  Amazing!  On a side note, the fact that Old El Paso taco seasoning is in the package is super exciting.

We had to snap a picture with all the treats.

We were so encouraged and blessed by our time in the United States.  We are so thankful for our friends and families on the other side of the ocean.  It was so wonderful to spend time with everyone!  We are excited to be heading to the Republic of Congo.  Please continue to pray for our family as we start this next field service with the Africa Mercy.
